Notes/Warnings:

1. According to NOTAM D0211, two working days prior permission is required by the HCAA for non-resident aircraft landing at Megara.
2. Opening hours timetable : Winter  0900-1700 L , Summer 0900-1900L. Check NOTAMs 
3. Prevailing winds from the North – Beware of strong crosswinds!
4. Airport is a Military base – No photography is allowed!
5. Avoid REVYTHOUSSA 1.5NM southeast of airport – Prohibited area LGP-7, Surface to 1000’ MSL, centered on gas tower emitting flames. Keep your pattern on the inside of this area.
6. Megara ATZ adjoins Elefsis CTR/MATZ. Contact Elefsis Tower on 120.15 to transit airspace.
7. Fees: €1.63  for each 24hrs (€7.34 for non EU reg. aircraft) which includes landing and parking and counts for all Greek public airports in the same calendar day (no recharge at other airports). €12.00 per passenger (excludes flight crew) on departure.
8. Airport is NOT classified as International therefore a stop at such an airport must be made when arriving or departing to a foreign airport – Schengen agreement countries included.
9. Megara airport lies within Athina TMA for which VFR routes have been published. Consult the Hellenic AIP or Bottlang manual. You will be asked to fly these routes and altitudes unless otherwise cleared. An unofficial sketch of these routes can be found here.

    11. New runway under construction parallel and just north of the current 08-26 of today. When asphalt paved do not confuse it with operational (south) runway Airport operations hours affected by WIP; check LGMG NOTAM's.

How to get to Megara airport:

From the Athens-Korinthos Highway, take exit “Megara – N.Peramos”, turn LEFT and follow the HCAA signs. After 1.5Km turn RIGHT towards DEPA-Revythoussa. After 1.5Km turn RIGHT again. Follow the road to the HCAA building.
